Not sweating after workout?!

Question: i go to the gym several times a week and lift weights. i do a light 5 minute jog in the beginning. but when i finish using the weights im not really sweating. my muscles are tired but since i take breaks in between the sets to get ready for the next set im not sweating. is this ok or will this hinder my results? (im trying to gain muscle mass)

I began trying to gain muscle mass last summer. However I was experiencing the same thing you were. I ended up gaining 15 pounds and noticed a big change in body size. I think sweating depends on each person. If you are pushing yourself to your limits or close to it then I'd say your okay.

it's fine. sweating is just a cooling down mechanism.

I don't see how it would hinder results, but not-sweating can be caused by dehydration. Make sure you're getting enough water or your body could seriously overheat while you're working out before you notice. Nottt good, so make sure you drink water, or at least gatorade/powerade.

no, you might not be drinking inuff fluids-the more you sweat the more fitter you are-it wont do anything to ur performance AT ALL.u might not be raising ur body temp inuff.

There's no probem with that. As the other answer stated, sweating is just a response to your body temperature rising. If you work out to try for the sweat you may completely exhaust yourself, which can slow your results.

you should also stretch before you jog, it'll loosen your muscles so you won't pull anything
it's ok for you not to sweat after a workout if it's some kind of disorder or something
maybe it's something genetic, but if i were you, i'd go to the doctor and make sure that not sweating isn't a big problem

try reducing your rest time between each set and that will help out with muscle endurance and get that sweat flowing...hope that helps

Work out longer and harder, until you work up a good sweat
