How to explain sudden weight gain?!

Question: I'm 15, 5'4" and my normal weight has always been 115-120 pounds. I eat healthy, exercise pretty regularly, blah blah blah, I'm not pregnant, but all the sudden my weight just rocketed to 130 pounds and I have all this extra fat on my stomach and love handles. I was trying out pescetarianism [vegetarian, but with fish] for a while until i started gaining weight and then stopped. But now I still have it. Can someone tell me what this could be from?? my mom says it might be a growth spurt but I'm the same height and that just doesn't sound right!

Is it possible that you're under a lot of stress or have been upset for a long time? I gain weight when under stress even if I don't eat more. My body decides to store it "just in case" - it's one of the built-in survival mechanisms.

Being 15, your body is going through hormonal changes and still figuring it out how to be adult, it may be related to that.

Pescetarian diet alone shouldn't have made any difference - you were still getting animal proteins and related amino acids. If anything, you were more likely to lose weight from it than gain.

You may have a thyroid problem (not sure I spelled that right). Normally when you have a problem with that you gain weight. I don't know what else it could be.

well youre growing but try to look back at what you eat, what kind of junk food do you eat a lot of during the day? see if you're over eating or something. but thats still a healthy weight for you if you weigh 130 at 15 years old. So i wouldnt worry about it much.
