Can sweating lower your blood pressure?!

Question: Sodium makes your blood pressure go up, right?
Salt has sodium in it, so it makes sense that when you sweat, you get rid of some sodium and lowers your blood pressure.
Also, do people who eat more salt have a higher concentration of salt in their sweat that people who eats less salt?

If you are looking for ways to lower your blood pressure, sweating is not one of them. The relationship between sodium intake and blood pressure is a complicated, indirect one so just sweating out a bit of salt won't do a thing for your blood pressure - although the exercise which you do in order to sweat might help!! Good ways of lowering blood pressure would include:
1) A nutrition-packed, healthy diet: lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains, nuts and such, with a minimum of empty-calorie "junk food".
2) Drink lots of water - forget about how many cups or liters of liquids are recommended for someone your age, weight and activity level... the best way to tell if you are getting enough to drink is the color of your pee: the less color, the better you are doing - if your pee is strongly colored, you are dehydrated, which raises blood pressure (along with lots of other nasty things....).
3) Get some aerobic exercise such as running or biking, as well as some strength-building exercise such as pushups, crunches and pullups (or weights or machines). Fit folks have lower blood pressure than unfit ones!!
4) Get out in the fresh air more - being outside in a natural setting is a GREAT way to lower your stess levels and therefore your blood pressure.
5) Get enough sleep - most people need between 7 and 8 hours even though they can "get by" on less, at considerable cost to their overall health!!
6) Avoid caffeine (coffee, black tea, colas, "energy" drinks.....) and other stimulants: getting proper sleep, good nutrition, good exercise and staying properly hydrated will give you LOTS of energy - of the healthy variety!
7) RELAX - stress is a great way to increase your blood pressure. Find ways to reduce stress in your life: take breaks from intense work, don't worry (what can you accomplish by worrying about it - do whatever you can about the things which concern you, and leave the rest to God or others!) about anything, reduce your fear levels, spend time with good friends or by yourself in relaxing settings.....

Green tea, garlic (the odorless kind works just as well!!), eating fish a few times a week, and DARK (70%+ cocoa) chocolate may also help reduce blood pressure - but maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle as outlined briefly above, is your best line of defense.

As for the second question, probably... but i wouldn't lose much sleep over the matter :--).
