What is a good energy boosting breakfast?!

Question: So I'm starting to eat better. I used to drink 3 to 4 glasses of orange juice a day because I'm trying to give up soda. The calories I'm drinking in oj are too much. Plus the sugar in the oj would give me lots of energy and then I would become sluggish.

I used to drink 2 cups in the morning. I want to change my breakfast so what are some good HEALTHY things to eat that will boost energy and won't leave me sluggish later on. Especially in terms of a drink.

I decided that for breakfast I'll eat
-egg whites
-Weight Watchers muffin.
-1 cup green tea (I hate the taste so I chug it down. I drink it as a way to get energy in the morning)

Is this a good breakfast?
---What should I drink with it? I enjoy sweet drinks like juices.

Sweet drinks and juices are usually high in sugar, carbs, and calories and not very filling. If you want a juicy sweetness in the morning here's what I recommend: have a large glass of water and a fruit on the side, like a juicy orange, grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on top, bowl of strawberries or any berries, or grapes. Actually eating fruits, rather than having them in juices, causes you to feel fuller and get more fiber and usually less calories. Hope this helps and you sound like you're doing a great job!

P.S. I do exactly the same thing with the green tea lol, but i find adding honey and lemon makes it drinkable. :)

that sounds GREAT!! try drinking a glass of milk or water! super healthy!! :)

add a fruit salad or a bowl of special k to that breakfast, you need more than that.

Yes that is healthy but you might get bored, I usually do. keep in mind a few ideas, one of mine: try starting with half a grapefruit or melon, followed by porridge or fibre cereal (like all bran or fruit and fibre). and two slices of wholemeal toast if you are still hungary or a greenish banana. This is healthy, high in fibre, and releases energy slowly. If you drink 1 small glass of oj in the morning then thats fine.

Eat a high fat morning meal and you'll consume fewer total calories over your day than if your started it with a low-fat breakfast, found by scientist in Sam Houston State University.
Avocado and Lox, Tex-Mex Scramble, Scottish Egg Bowl

Go to a nutritionist or a dietitian they can help you with better choices and menus that will help with your energy level, blood sugar level etc. at least they will be able to steer you in the right direction. Good luck.......
