Heart rate is vital when doing cardio. Subtract your age from 220 and that will give a a general idea of what your maximum heart rate is. Try to maintain between 60% to 70% of that while doing cardio. I have been very succesful in losing weight personally and clients who I train using the following program. 45 minutes of cardio 4-6 times a week. If you can not do 45 minutes at first, work your way up to it. Interval training is the best form of cardio I have seen, perfect for weight loss. Begin your excersice, reach and maintain a heart rate of 60% for 4-5 minutes. Then do a 30- 60 second interval of intensity raising your heart rate as high as you can. If you are running, sprint. If you are biking, pedal as fast as you can. When you complete your interval of intensity, allow your heart rate to slow back down to the 60%. Keep your heart rate there for about 4-5 more minutes and repeat. It is a tough 45 minutes, especially the first few sessions, but you will see amazing results if you can do this program for two months. Keep a close eye on your diet too, six small, balanced meals a day is best. Low carb high protien. Best of luck with your weight loss and congrats on the marriage!

Subjective, you must find what works best for you, about 45 minutes I'd say. Very. Shed the notion it will be fast, it will not.

Heart rate is extremely important. Studies say that atleast one hour of cardio (running, jogging) is needed. Go for an evening or morning jog everyday. Eat healthy and throw away those Oreo's that you're addicted to! ;)

Also, you need to get cardio in yourself EVERYday! But you don't need an hour everyday. You need an hour about 3 - 7 days a week. The other days can be 45 minute walk to Safeway and back.

heart rate is...very important actually. 45 minutes a day should be good. try running though running and walking are some of the best. for losing weight make sure you are also using a good diet plan.

Jumping rope, definitely, and well as long as you can. around 30 or more. It definitely gets your heart rate up. It's also so fun........ congrats on getting married!
