The best way to resit and control your food cravings is to eat lots of greens and drink water too. The veggies and fruits will give you energy (and you can eat lots of them without gaining weight) and the water will fill up your stomach so that you'll constantly feel full.

cardio give's you more energy and makes you feel less about eating swee and such
Diets don't work, limiting yourself doesn't work, that's why you can't stick to it.
What you need is a change in lifestyle.
If you consistently eat more than you have set for yourself you have probably set your calories too low for your exercise. You can not cut foods out forever so you have to learn to work them into your day.
