Can you please critique my diet, I'm 22 year old, 6 feet tall, 215lbs trying!


Question: I have my exercise down but is this a good diet?

meal #1 - 6 egg whites(1yolk)
oatmeal
banana
meal #2 - same as meal 1
meal #3 - Large salad
chicken
brown rice
meal #4 - post workout) tuna on wheat bread
and large salad
meal #5 - protein shake(2 scoops)
meal #6 - 6 egg whites(1 yolk)
handful of almonds

This sounds very close to "Body for Life". You sound solid, but you may want to add more "live" foods. Use more vegetables, and at least one fruit a day. You can focus on low carb, but bring in the whole live foods. Also, you may get bored with this, and be more likely to "fall off the wagon". Use edamame for a good protein vegetable. Try to get a grapefruit in at least once a day. Sprinkle it with a little splenda or stevia. If you can, eat a fresh tomato with one of your meals. There are tons of ways to keep calories low and bring in some flavor. Instead of just egg whites, add some spinach and mushrooms when you cook your egg whites.
