Exercise!...........Is it a magic cure?!


Question: What is it that makes you feel good when you exercise?Whenever I have had a good workout I feel energised and more focused.

It is the endorphins that are released when you exercise that make you feel good.

It is known to help with sadness. The world would be a better place of everyone exercised.

I don't think exercise is a magic cure, however it does help your body release endorphins (feel good chemical), it helped me to get through depression (along with medication). not everyone can exercise in great amounts, but yes it is a helpful tool to deal with some ailments

of course! nothing like feeling drained after a good workout.

my cycling season starts in a week and I can't wait to feel that way again!

i think it depends, if you exercise then you get an Adrenalin rush that makes you feel good.
when i exercise i feel good i put it down to ADRENALIN.

I definitely feel better after a workout even though I have to force myself to go to the gym in the first place.

I ADORE yoga though and really look forward to my classes. Afterwards I walk out of there like I'm floating on air.

We are designed as a hunter gatherer species. Running through the jungle with spears might no longer be appropriate (except for reality TV) but we need regular exercise or our bodies and minds shut down. The effectiveness of antidepressants is in the news right now, but it's long been known that an excellent treatment for depression is a brisk walk every day.

The feel good factor is the endorphins that are released when you excercise, and this is continued when you feel fit and strong and good within yourself.

Im a nurse, so trust me when I say over 95% of the diseases and illnesses I see every day are directly caused by lifestyle or heavily influenced by it. If everyone excercised and took care of themselves we would vastly vastly reduce so many diseases such as cancers, heart disease, etc etc, to the extent that they would be a rarity, and we would completely eradicate others such as diabetes. And excercise is proven to be the best cure for depression.

So yes, people would be happier and yes, it is a magic cure.
