Can I still tone up without weights???!


Question: I like to do the cardio and toning classes at my gym.
My bf says I have to use weights!!
That cant be true! These classes are a good workout, I sweat and my muscles hurt and everything!
I go about 4 days per week...

You will tone as long as your toning classes are using your body weight as resistance. Resistance is the key. Weights can help you tone faster and possibly zone in on problem areas. But, if you enjoy the classes and can stick with it better than just during boring old curls, etc., then it will be the fastest way to tone for you!

Yes you can although weights help you a little better you don't always have to use them. You can exercise without it that might even be better.

I toned without weights. ask someone who works at the gym, if your bf doesn't believe you.

you can tone up using any sort of resistance. your own body weight can act as resistance. as you progress though you may have to add more resistance by using some sort of weight or resistance band/ tubing.

I run a couple of miles followed by crunches and pushups/bench presses. I think gives me a full body workout- Complement this with good, healthy diet- works like a charm :)
