Best breakfast cereal to lose weight?!


Question: Could anyone name some cereals they have used to help achieve weight loss? Or other breakfast foods as well that are good when trying to lose weight? Thanks.

If you're looking for hot..then oatmeal is your best choice. And the one in the canister, not the little packets..they're full of sugar. Grits are also not bad, as long as you don't top them with butter, or add cheese.

Cold cereals have gotten alot better. Now you can find cereal that is high in protein. The best one is GoLean by Kashi. One serving has 9 grams of protein, and that's before you add milk. Cereal high in fiber is good so here are some healthy choices:
Kellog's All Bran
Wheat or multi grain Chex
General Mill's Fiber One (Original and Honey Clusters)
Whole Grain Total
Wheaties
Cheerios
Grape Nuts
Low fat Granola
Shredded Wheat

OATMEAL!

I like oatmeal squares. It's a low-fat, high fiber, and great tasting cereal.

Any cereal with whole grains over fifty percent. They just had a story on this recently. Your body takes more energy to process the food, and it also provides bulk.

Hot cereal: Original oatmeal (not the instant). 150 Calories per half cup dry. And it metabolizes quite efficiently.

Cold cereal: either Kashi or Special K. They are a nice blend of what is most nutritious, but have less calories than many others out there.

The key is to not overdo your cereals/grains, but to keep them moderate to low in your overal daily dietary consumption. Add fruits and vegetables and, keeping below the minimum calorie needs of your body to maintain your CURRENT weight, you are guaranteed to lose weight.

Oameal is good. Kellog's. Or any Kashi Go Lean cereals. And remember a serving is about a cup. Not a whole bowl. And use low fat milk.

Special K ... think you can loose 6 lbs in 2 weeks or so they say... =/

Kashi Go Lean is fabulous! Not only does it taste good but is better for you then most cold cereal!
