I am only drinking 1 bottle of water a day..is that bad??!

Question: i am only drinking 1 bottle of water a day. is that bad?

i know that the "rule" is 6-8 glasses a say, well, i have tried it and can never do it! it makes me feel like i am about to burst! and i get really bloated.
i only drink skim milk in the morning 1-2 glasses. i drink about half a bottle of water with lunch. then with dinner i drink about 1/4 of the bottle, then like 30 minutes before bed i finish the bottle.
also sometimes i drink a glass of juice....but not often.

i am afraid to drink to much water or i will get water weight.
i am 15, 5'1, and about 94-96 pounds.

I think that "rule" is a guidline... but it is not for everyone. Water weight is not that bad. You will loose it as your body absorbs the water. The thing is, no matter if you want to or don't want to gain weight, your body needs that fluid throughout the day to keep your weight and vital organs in check. It is very important. So much so, that if you don't drink enough, you will gain weight! The best way to see if you are actually getting enough fluid for your body is to look at your urine. If it is yellow or dark, you are not getting enough fluid. If it is clear, you are doing the right thing.

Its not too bad. I mean if you could squeeze in more water instead of juice here and there that'd be better

how big is that bottle of water? small or large?

People that have dehydration issues usually complain about lung (bronchitis, pneumonia, etc) and headaches.
If you are not suffering from either than you are doing well.

As for gaining weight from water... puhleease..., not going to happen. I would worry more about the sugar in the juice than water weight.

It is rather bad! but then you dont really have to drink 8 bottles of water a day! well over half your body weight is made up of water, which means your not replacing it like you should. Water carrys oxygen round in your blood stream. Water is used in the immune system which helps it fight of disease the word for water used in the immune system is called lymph. water is also needed to help remove the ruppish from your body!

Thats just the sci behind it all! the best way for you to see if your not drinking enough water is to check your pee - light yellow means your hydrated and dark yellow(often smelly) means your not!!

Anyway! when you feel hungry it could also mean your just thristy, your brain does that! It helps your skin not to be dry, makes you look younger (not tired) and helps you concertate more!!

Hope ive helped!!1

Please stop worrying about your weight. You are a young Lady who should be enjoying life. I strongly suggest that you share your feelings with someone you trust. Take care of yourself and please be careful. God bless.

Theres water in all foods and liquids aslong as you stay well hydrated its not bad at all. Im sure that everyone will be in the same boat! Try flavoured waters...much easier to drink :) x
