How do I become a faster runner? I'm a little overweight?!
Question: Well, I play baseball. I'm a little overweight, and my coach told me I need to work on my speed( become a faster runner ). So, how can I do that? would it be by losing weight, or is there a certain way to do it?

Dude i used to be just like you and now i can run the 40 yard dash in 4.7 sec. Anyway i have learned to love to squat using the machines (not free weights they can hurt your knees and then you'll hurt when you run) also run on tredmils or just outside. Dont give up... i am a soccer player so i need speed...baseball needs speed and strength so squat alot and run alot (but not to the point when you hurt your knees. try running with your toes rather than the whole foot its a lot quicker
longer steps and just pratice youl get bettrer trust me ive been there
do stretches to get more flexible
start going running.
take longer strides.
Practice makes perfect!!! **:)**
Practice makes perfect. Go running everyday, as far as you can, soon you will improve. To speed things up, eat better, healthier foods.
youd definantly wanna lose weight first of all. but strengthen your legs but squatting or doing lunges. an overall weight training program would be best. but do a lot of sprints, suicides, long distance running will help in endurance
