Next month im getting a treadmill, what would be a great workout on it?!

Question: Im 16 and weigh 261 pounds. Im getting a treadmill next month from my parents. I want to lose weight for next school year. School next year starts in September. I dont go to school right now for anxiety issues, self conscienceness and self esteem because of my weight. I want to lose about 50 pounds. Well whatever would make a good weight. Im 5'7, 5'8.

I was thinking maybe walking 30 minutes to an hour in the morning and 30 minutes to an hour in the evening. If I walk 2 hours a day, i'll burn around 600-700 calories. And walking 15 minutes at noon. I would have nothing else to do, as I stay in my house isolated. I dont drink soda either. I dont want to go on a DIET of eating HEALTHY foods :D

Just regular everyday american food. Could I still lose weight? My brother walked and lost alot of weight. And he ate what I eat for meals.

you could lose what your aiming for 50 pound seem ok for me i lost like 45 pounds in 3 months, but to do that you need to eat healthy i know you dont want to hear this but eating healthy is what will make you lose weight not just working out, or when you eat just eat once don't go for seconds, and try to eat your lunch with lettuce or broccoli, also eat fruits not to many thought, because if you workout and then eat junk food all the hard work was for nothing, and if this is your first time working out then you'll lose weight fast with eating healthy because your body is used to junk food and when you feed your body healthy food it does more, when i first started i was losing weight like 3 to 5 pounds a week(that because i never used to workout or eat healthy) but what you'll lose will be excess body fat, so first on the treadmill, you may want to start slow just warm up on it like a light walk on it for about 5 minutes, then speed it up just a little to get your body used to it, then maybe a light jog for about 1 to 2 minutes and if on the workout you feel tired then do a light walk, try to do that a light walk for 5 min then light jog for 2-3 min then repeat until your workout time is up, then by the next month ramp it up a little walk for 5 min then jog for 4 min if you can or maybe 5 this is to change the workout, because your body get used to a workout for about 6 weeks then it plateaus, this is so your body is all ways challenged, then by month 4 or 5 you could to interval workout on the treadmill, and don't give up.

Try slow jogging. You would lose more weight. Also, 1 day a week, do something like six 400m sprints, three 800m sprints, or three 1200m sprints. This makes you a lot faster. I did cross country so I know. As long as you work out everyday and eat right(no fast food), you will feel great and lose weight. Stay motivated and lose a lot of weight. Hope you succeed.

You should get a elliptical machine better. It's easy on the knees. And you will lose the same or more calories because on the treadmill you only use your lower body and the elliptical, you're moving your entire body.

running and jogging

You'll figure it out once you get it. But in the beginning I would walk on an incline at a steady pace for a few minutes. Then I would put the incline down and jog/ run for as long as I could. Then go back to walking on the incline. And sometimes I would hop off and do some quick leg lifts or arm exercises with light weights. I do this just to keep it interesting and it's good to change it up. And now I'm running more on it. Just try to squeeze in more water, fruits and vegggies and you'll be fine!! Good luick!!
