My scale....?!

Question: I have a digital scale at home.

I weighed my 5 lb weight on the scale to check accuracy and it was correct.

I weighed at 123 and I went to the doc today and I was like 126! WTF! I know I would trust the docs scale more but how can I fix mine! The 5 lb weight measures right!

the exact same thing happens to me too! i kinda think the doctor's scale is wrong (even though it shouldn't be). but you know how the doctor has to slide the weight things on the scale over to balance it? i think that's where the accuracy gets messed up because if you move your feet or something on the doctor's scale it will mess up the measurements. and the doctor could have been off a little when she moved the weights to balance the scale. so i think the digital one is better because it's not just moving weights to balance the scale, like at the doctor.

anyways, i don't think it really matters which is right or wrong because your weight fluctuates all the time and as long as you know that your scale and the doctor's scale are different, you should be able to keep track of what you weigh. i follow my digital scale because i use it everyday and i don't really care what the doc's scale says, since i won't be using that anyway when i'm watching my weight.

return it..and get a new one..hope i helped ;]

every scale will be different...has to do with alot of things other than your body weight...plus your weight isnt always the same depending on the time of the day....it could fluxciuate by several pounds...taking a poop before you went to the doctor could have helped...

i dont know why you are stressing

Oftne theres a reset thing on ditital scales....it says how to in the instruction manual you got with it...also quit worrying about 5lbs!

cuz ur a faty

Your weight fluctuates a few pounds every day. You could've gone to the doctor with a lot of extra water weight, or right after eating a big meal.

most scales are not as accuate as doctors, you can't fix it, and why are you like wtf, why did you flip?

maybe u where just wearing different clothes or sumthing ( =

where you naked on your scale maybe and maybe wherein something on the DOC'S.

well, you can add three pounds to it, so it coincides with the doctors... you are probably just retaining water.

people gain weight throughout the day; you can wake up weighing very 120, then midafternoon weigh 119, then by 4 you could weigh 125, and by night 130. Try, for one day, weighing yourself every 4 hours the entire day. See how your weight fluctates. You'd be surprised!
Either that, or the nurse didn't balance the scale correctly.
I'd trust your scale.
