Why is the rest of my body loosing inches but my Bottom?!

Question: I have been training for a 1/2 marathon, 3 wks now. I have noticed my tummy, abs and thigh loosing lots of inches. However my bottom is getting bigger. I have been doing lunges and squats for a year now to get it trim, what is happening and what can I do to slim down there.

You are probably building alot of muscles there so it is growing. Just continue with your cardio (need to keep burning the fat) and it should come off. When a persons body burns fat, we can't choose where we want it to come off from. Your "bottom" is where yours will most likely come off last. Don't give up, it'll trim down.

The butt is always the last to go, all the fat seems to store there. Do more squats, lower body workouts and soon you'll see results

dont worry you will lose weight off ur butt. its just persistance.

For men its the gut, for women its the thighs and butt. You lose weight in your extremities first, and then, unfortunately, these areas lose it last.

it has to do with your body type. some people are apples and can't for the life of them get rid of enough fat in their midsection and some people, like you, are pears and can't get rid of fat in there but and thighs for the life of them. it may be partly that you are employing these muscles a lot during your training and not focusing on balancing other muscles out so your body looks even. since you've only been training for 3 weeks you really shouldn't be worried about it. it can take a couple of months to see results in problem areas.

your biulding muscle mass. your lunges are building your fast twitch muscles, you prolly want the slow twitch muscles.
I recommend stop doing lunges and squats. those excersices are targeted to BUILD muscle in the butt.
Find a nice running path that has plenty of hills in it and run those paths for 40 minutes to an hour daily in a normal paced jog. usually about 6 miles a day. your biscuit should trim down as long as your not doing any more squatting.
also, drink more water to sweat more.
