Is there an easy way to quit eating junk food; i've tried, but it has become!

Question: I've tried dieting, but it usually only lasts for a week or two, then i seem to go astray.
i can't seem to stay motivated and i want to stay on a diet that works for me.
i dont want the use of drugs either.

The way it worked for me is to gradually reduce the frequency of fast food intake.

I wouldn't recommend eliminating it completely from your diet because you will crave it like crazy.

I eat a balanced diet but I let myself take fast food once a week. If your diet (what you eat) is balanced. 1 fast food meal will not do much of an impact and you will enjoy it.

Hope it helps.

dont buy the food. Replace it with ............applesor whatever buut just don't buy it . We stopped buying it and sooner or later i dint want it any more!!!

start introducing healthier foods little by little. you'll eventually find some that you really like.
or, you can eat healthy most of the time and reward yourself at the end of the week with junk food.
if the issue is the convenience of junk food, go to subway or quizno's, or just get salads/grilled sandwiches.

OH YEAH one more thing:
watch Fast Food Nation and Supersize Me!
I guarantee that you won't want junk food as much afterwards!

for every time you have an urge to eat junk food, choose an alternative. like gum, water, a healthy hobby. little steps help!

I had the same problem, but I said no and I just stopped completely. I never went near a gas station store or to the chips section. It was hard at start but try iy for two weeks more and you don't really feel the need to eat them at all.
I have 3 years now without tasting a single chip!
good luck!

how it is about with some healthy snacks,

protein bars take some in school ,thy test great and holding you fit, hum?

Stop buying them...as long as you have them in your pantry you cannto resist eatign them...
aslo keep food which you have prepared at home....or fruits near by so when you feel hungry you can eat it...also stay away from any carbonated drink...drink diluted unsweetened cranberry juice or water...

Good Luck!

throw it all out and dont allow yourself to buy any more

replace junk with healthier choices such as apples and bananas

if you get a craving for chocolate have a piece (not an entire bag...a piece) of dark chocolate...or a scoop of fat free chocolate cool whip

after about a month you wont crave junk food anymore and will actually start craving healthier foods...and you will feel so much better!!!

allow yourself one junk meal a week.... on saturdays I allow myself a dessert after dinner... tirimisu, bread pudding, etc..... or I will have buffalo wings or lasagna

I

Find food that tastes nice, like fruit or sushi etcetera, and just say "NO!" to yourself when you find yourself "craving".

Stay out of drive-thrus, & fast-food diners, & other dives.
Shop of the periphery of super-markets only.
Avoid white sugar, white flour, MSG & processed foods.
Minimize red meat, maximize fish, as fresh as possible.
Stock up on fresh fruit & produce, choose many colours.
Diets don't work, you need a balanced nutrition life-style.

im trying to do the same thing......change some foods around little by little...i too am a junk food junky...i f@#king love chips and dip!!!!!! ice cream isn.t bad either......the only food i cook is breakfast food and then thats usually foods like bacon, eggs, pancakes- with plenty of butter and syrup of course.....so instead of eating a bucket of lard for breakfast i.ve replaced it with a cereal (not super sugary) and 2% milk (skim creeps me out!).....another thing is that junk is soooo easy and already ready to eat.....i hate eating fruits whole, and even tho its not alotta effort to cut it up....u kno, junk is instant gratification......but yah, ima slowly try to incorporate more whole foods into my diet, maybe cut down the caffeine and eat those soy crisp things rather than chips (they.re pretty tasty) i wish you luck, im in the same boat
