Yeah, buy the Atkins book. But be careful - I went nutso on that one. It can play havoc with your thinking. Not good for people prone to eating disorders. And by the way, ketosis can be dangerous, something to do with kidneys shutting down???? Might pay to read the literature. Good luck.

if you start in the induction phase, keep carbs 20 or lower per day.Eat pure protein sources,pure fat sources, low carb veges in acceptable amounts No fruit to start out with-that can be added later. No bread or breaded food,no pasta,potatoes rice cereal grains etc for starters. Add a fiber supplement to start out like flax meal 1 teaspoon to tablespoon per day.
Definitely read Atkins book, for me going on meat and egg fast for three days really gets you into ketosis real quick.
