sweetie, first off, your not fat. You are also 13 so you still might have some growing to do (height wise) and that will really even it out. I know you probably dont want to hear people just saying "your not fat!" and that you actually want help, but I am, dont worry. If you tell yourself your fat, you are really not going to get anywhere. You need to have confidence and take it slow. Baby steps.

I agree, eating healthy is HARD, im such a junk food addict. You just have to make better decisions with portions and food choices. Cut back a little on sweets, and choose healthier snacks so you can have actual meals (breakfast, lunch dinner) withour having to have a salad for your meal. Im not sure if you drink alot of juice, pop, etc, but if you do, dont do it! Drinking your calories is not the best idea. Its silly. Yeah, it taste good, but it doesnt fill you up! Pop is the worst! There is no point gain calories by sipping on a drink! Of course, OJ is good for you, and you should have juice once in a while, but some of those other juices have alot of calories so watch out!
You are also 13, so dieting is not something I would suggest.
Its thinking about what you can cut back on (without torturing your tummy!) and making better choices. You're young, so each chips and pizza with friends! but dont make it a nasty little habbit.

You said you're athletic but you can still work out when your not playing sports. Run, jog, take your dog (if you have one) for a walk, roller blade, bike ride, something that will get your heart beating. Do something fun. Crunches will make muscle, but cardio will burn off the fat. Like I said, you are only 13, but if you want to tone up there is nothing wrong with that. Stay active and do something fun. FAD DIETS DONT WORK! neither do DIET PILLS. dont do them. Exercize and make better eating choices. But dont tourture yourself, enjoy your youth.

if you eat less and exercise more you'll lose weight, try eating small amounts of healthy beans and vegetables and fruits and nuts for a week, no cooked food allow and lots of water, eat between a hour or two
no your not as fat as you describe, think positive be positive lol cheesy

the problem is not that you're fat, it's that you THINK you're fat. you may have an eating disorder with that mindset. and you're just a kid, live life, enjoy it. talk to someone if you feel that strongly because it's reason for concern that you feel this way

sweetheart your not fat...
125 at 5'4?

yeahh, not fat.

anyways.

just do a quick detox diet and exercise.

u can drop like 10 lbs of water weight in like a week just by not eating any salt...but it won't actually make u ne thinner, because ull gain back the water weight wen u eat salt again....seriously tho ur thin enuff, if ur concerned about physical ability than thats different, but u cant base health or attractiveness on 5 lbs

I know it sucks. Sometimes it's just birth you know, like genes from your parents.
Maybe you just don't have a good metabolism. Just exercise and burn up those calories! You aren't fully developed yet! You are still in the beginning of the teens! Don't give up hope!
Good luck <3

First off you are not "fat", and you are very young and should not be worrying about your weight, if you where pushing the 200 mark I may have more of a concern for your health, but not your weight. Take that number out of your head, that is all it is, a number nothing more it does not define you. Stay athletic, and eat modeterly and you will do just fine!!

You are not fat. One way to eat less is to drink and least one 8 ounce glass of water just before your meal. Don't eat until you are stuffed. Just eat until you are satisfied. And no between meal snacks.

Stop it!! You're being ridiculous.

"Ideal Weight Calculation:

According to your height of 5' 4" your ideal healthy weight is 130 pounds. Your recommended weight range is between 116 and 145 pounds.

This was calculated using Hamwi formula, a simple formula commonly used by many clinicians.

You are so young that you probably still have some "baby fat" that will probably go away as you get older, but you are still within the recommended range.

Hello,
Good to hear that you are concerned about your health. That is the key word...being concerned about health, not weight. Many people think that health and weight are the same things...they're not. Skinny people can be very unhealthy.

I think 5 pounds sounds like a great goal, a healthy goal. It is generally considered healthy to lose 2 pounds per week when trying to lose weight. So if you wanted to lose five pounds, 2-3 weeks would be good.

It is important to be active to keep your weight down. Many people want to diet, or eat less, but that's not the answer. Diets will often result in gaining more weight than before after you stop dieting.

Try to eat good portions of food from each of the food groups. You can find a food guide on the internet to help you with that if you want. Also, it is ok to have the occasional snack, but keep it to a minimum. In other words, some foods may be difficult to stop eating, so try to eat them only once a week. Stay active too and continue to play sports.

Also keep in mind that it is pretty natural for people your age to feel insecure about some part of your body. So do your best and you will see results even if it takes a while. You're still young and it's great to see that you are starting to take your health into consideration.

Hope that helped. Best of luck.

Omit fast foods & coke...get fish , baked stuffs, water instead

What? Fat? Oh no say it ain't so...

Be patient, your body has hardly started to grow. You are going to continue to grow until about 25 years of age. Your long bones won't stop growing until about then. Study a little physiology and you will find the endocrine reason that long bones growth end their growth cycle.

You will go through times of chubbiness as your body stores "energy" for the growth spurts.

Relax and enjoy the ride or fret about it and make your self upset.

I know too easy an answer as you compare yourself to the air brushed beauties in the magazines unscrupulous publishers sell to young women. The pictures aren't any more real than mythical gold leaf streets in Atlantis.
