Answers: What are the main stuctural components of carbs, proteins, and lipids?

Ok Proteins make up around 17% of body weight and are predominantly Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen. They are made up from polymers (chains) of amino acids.

Carbohydrates make up around 1% of body weight and are mainly Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen. They have subclasses known as Monosaccharides(sugars) and Polysaccharides.

Lipids make up around 15% of body weight and are mainly Carbon and Hydrogen.

Hope this helps
