I'm stuck!?!

Question: Ok, so I have been dieting for about....4 weeks or so, I have lost only 12 lbs! Now I am stuck and can't lose anymore....so I bought the biggest loser dvd 6 week workout. Also I eat 1100-1200 cals a day in 5 small meals....breakfast usually consists of either egg wgites and whole wheat toast or whole grain cereal....my lunch is usually a Smart One's dinner or tuna salad or a turkey sandwich w no cheese and my dinner is usually a Smart Ones meal or Chicken breast with loads of broccoli and cauliflauer and sometimes a baked potato. My snacks are usually a special K bar, a 100 calorie pack, fruit, or yogurt. I also drink about (4-5) 23.7 oz bottles of water a day....so my question is, with this new 6 week workout, how much do you think I will lose in the next 6 weeks and also do you have any other suggestions on what I can do?

It sucks but your body is eventually doing to plateau. You have to change it up every 4-6 weeks in order to "shock" you body again so that it burns energy differently. Do this 6 week thing and then start doing something new again...you can rotate routines to keep your body on it's toes. And 12 pounds in a month is WONDERFUL, good work! Your diet sounds good too although you might watch the sodium in the microwave dinners. They do taste great and the cal/fat content is good but the sodium can retain water and add to weight....Good Luck!

First of all make sure you complete the whole 6 weeks exercise program.

As for weight loss you never mentioned how much you weigh or how much fat you have so no one can actually answer this question adequately because so many factors will alter the outcome.

Otherwise all the biggest loser contestants would have been equal.

Congratulations on the weight you've lost so far. 12 pounds in 4 weeks is a great accomplishment. I know we always want the "quick-fix", but seriously, that's awesome! A lot of us hit a plateau after dieting/exercising. You need to change up your workout and make sure that the food you are eating doesn't have added sugar, high fructose corn syrup, enriched flour, etc. PLUS ... you want to make sure that the Smart One's dinners that you're eating don't have processed meat or anything in it. You're better off making your own dinners and lunches. It's healthy to lose NO MORE than 2 pounds a week ... so I would guess that you should lose a maximum of 12 pounds in the next 6 weeks. BUT, I wouldn't focus too much on your weight. You'd probably do a lot better if you were taking your measurements and listening to how you feel. Good luck.

12lbs in 4 weeks, that an average of 3 lbs a week. You seem to be doing fine to me. When you say you're stuck, is it that in the past week you haven't lost or even gained any weight?! Celebrate the no weight gain!

Also you might need to increase the intensity of your exercises to challenge yourself. Getting the DVD is a good idea. I'm sure if you stick to it you will see some significant changes. Good luck. http://www.clearhealthandfitness.com/hea...
