hellz yeah you can! i had a friend who gained 40 pounds with her pregnancy and she lost it in 2 months and she never even exercised she just ate right and breastfed her baby, so if you exercise eat right and breastfeed you will definitely be able to do it!! go hard!

YES

Well you have to figure that about 10 lbs of that is the baby and the fluids and everything. So yeah it's possible. Just make sure to eat enough to stay healthy, don't cut dairy out entirely (or get calcium pills) and breastfeed.

Yes, I think you can. I've had 2 babies and each time was back at my pre-pregnancy weight by 4 weeks, without diet/exercise! You're just fine with 40 lbs!! Congratulations!

Firstly, remember that you'll lose about 9 or 10lbs as soon as you have your baby, which leaves you with only 30lbs and most of that will fall off in the first 8 weeks, as you'll lose all the fluid and blood and icky stuff.

When I had my second baby I put on about 45lbs and I think I was back in my normal clothes by the time she was a few weeks old (though I still had a gut I must add). I breastfed, and I think that it was definitely the reason I lost all my baby weight so quickly.

Make sure that if you diet, you are still taking in enough calories for your body to make milk, you don't want to starve your baby or yourself.

I would say, eat healthily, take nice relaxing walks with your baby, and perhaps try and see if you can do sit-ups for an hour or so a day after baby has gone to bed, as the weight will come off, but the tummy tends to remain a bit flabby without some serious toning.
