Am I... fat?!


Question: I'm 14 years old, weigh 120 pounds exactly, and am 5"6. Am I... fat? Or skinny? I don't feel fat.

I've got pretty big muscles. I work out 2-3 days a week, and play tennis. I also have a Wii, which I use to work out also. I eat very very healthy. I'm a vegetarian and love healthy food such as veggies, fruit, and those healthy granola bars.

your BMI is 19.4 which is normal. on the thin side of normal. but if you are muscular you still may have too little body fat but can't say w/out doing a body fat measurement. sounds like you eat healthy and are active. keep it up. make sure you get your protein , vitamin B12 and calcium being a vegetarian my self i know that can be an issue.

From what you've said you sound healthy and "fit." If I were in your situation I don't think I could be happier. The question is, are you happy with you?

Sounds like you take really good care of yourself, except that the fact you are worried about your weight isn't good for your mind right now. As long as you learn what good foods are and keep excercising, NO worries! Sounds like you look good, so keep taking care of yourself and stay away from too many sweets and you will be just fine!

You are no where near fat. Everyone needs a little bit of fat. You are a nice size for your height. Keep it up cause once you gain alot of weight, it is so hard to lost and you don't want that struggle. Take it from experiance because I am going through that now.

Muscle weighs more than fat and someone of your height and age actually should weigh a bit more.
