age, weight, height and the type of job you do are all considered in the calculation of the calories you approximately burn without excercise. A fitness coach can help you with that. Without these its difficult to give you a good estimate, but it only takes 15 calories over your average to gain weight and you can't eat too few calories if you don't want to faint or feel weak....Remember you're dealing with estimates here.
Make sure you engage in cardio excercises because losing weight with limiting your food intake is not a good option. Try to be more conscious about the type of things you eat and combine that with excercising... One hour of cardio equals an average of 500 calories, the faster you excercise, the more calories you burn....

So you need to know how many calories your body consumes naturally without the excercising, if you want to do it safely....gl

First off, you can't lose 15 lbs in 2 months....

If go by the golden rule of weight loss, you should target to lose 1 lb of weight in a week. It's the healthy way to lose weight. So, you'll lose 15 lbs in 4 months .......

1 lb of weight (or fat) equals 3,500 calories.

To burn off 3,500 calories, you need to expense off an extra of 500 calories per day either thru:

1. Exercise - cardio exercise alone or
2. Healthy diet alone or
3.The combo of exercise and healthy diet

I would say go for the combo because it's the tried and true method of losing weight and it's the most healthy and the safest.

Since you say you're eating 1,200 calories per day, then you should do cardio exercise that burns off 200-300 calories per session of at least 30 mins, 4-5 times per week.
