Question about protein powder and losing weight?!

Question: I am starting an exercise plan to lose 20 pounds, but I also want some muscle. Will protein powder do anything for me? I don't really know anything about it. Is it not something you want to use if you are trying to lose weight?

Sure protein can help you. Keep your intake to bellow 50grams a day or else you might build to much muscle! Try doing light weights with alot of reps for nice lean muscle, also make sure you get your cardio exercises in before lifting this is key for losing weight! make sure you take your whey protein WITHIN 2 hours of working out or else it can be stored as fat.

Good Luck

I agree with Jesus!

Ive done extensive research on this topic as I have been weight training for about 5 years. The RIGHT protein powder mix can be a very beneficial supplement when taken correctly. Stick with a Whey Protein from GNC or a local Vitamin store. Take multi vitamins once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. Make sure that the protein mix is low in carbs and not the weight gainer kind.

Essentially make yourself a shake as a breakfast replacement and work that into your food schedule. Get your protein from the drink and your carbs from your additives. I prefer vanilla powder with Frozen fruit, Skim milk, No Fat Yogurt, a banana and some regular oatmeal. (The oatmeal is added fiber and it actually tastes really good) With a normal work out routine if you would like to tone up and develop some lean muscle, I would attempt to consume 3/4 your weight in grams of protein a day. The body has saturation limits and will only absorb about 40g every 3 hours.

go to www.naturalw8loss4u.info. This is a high protein meal plan which consists of soy and whey protein. The more lean muscle you build, the more body fat you will burn. Soy protein is slowly metabolised whereas whey protein is quickly metabolised. This program works very quickly and you will also feel great.
