I have been prescribed reductil, i started taking it last tuesday!?!
Question: i had palpitations all sunday and have been getting them again today, my check up isn't untill friday, i know it says that 10 in 100 people will suffer theses side effects in the first 10 days or so and if your worried to consult your doctor, but if you leave them for a week what could happen as a result of palpitations? I am not morbidly obese or anything i just made the requirements for them tbh i slightly lied to get them. anyone experienced anything similar? no silly answers pls this is a genuine worry, if you don't know from experience your answer really wouldn't help. Thanks =)

my mum takes reductil but she is classed as obese. she never had any side effects and she lost a lot of weight. your palpatations are caused because they have a lot of caffeine in them which speeds up your metabolism and your heart rate. Either make an appointment to see yur doctor sooner than friday or stop taking them until you see your doctore on friday. Reductil is not the only tablet he can prescrice, he will suggest a more suitable one for you.
My sister took it with good results and no side effects!

Medication of any type is not the solution to your weight problem. Stop taking them and make sensible and sustainable changes to your life style, that is the only way to reach a healthy weight and stay there.
It affects noradrenaline re-uptake which has an action on the heart. It should stop as you get used to taking it but if it does not then you should see your GP about it.
Oh, this drug does NOT contain caffeine or similar stimulants.
Apparently there is more side effects with this medicine as it affects the brain If I was you I would ask to go on Xenical also available on prescription and is better tolerated In fact it is just if not better then your other one just don't eat fat with it as it will just go right through you like a speeding bullet be warned!
I was prescribed them by my GP. My blood pressure went so high that I had to stop taking them. I felt so ill my heart was racing, when I tried to stand up I would faint. Please go and see your GP or practice nurse ASAP. I then tried xenical and it also had the same affect on me.
if u have a nervous disorder. and you can feel your heart thumping away.. there are many reasons for this. i would go back to your doctor.. sorry but what is reductil used for?.. email me.. may be side effects
reductil,has many side effects which include palpitations and insomnia,but they do work
