How long will it take me to get in shape?!


Question: Okay, so I tried to start using a treadmill, but it is really difficult to me. I keep looking at the time and it seems to go so slow and I can't stop wanting it to be over, and I have to stop every few minutes, with the breaks being much longer than the working out parts.

if I do this for thirty minutes three times a week how long will it take for it to not seem so difficult?

This is the only option I have by the way, so how can I get my mind off of wanting it to be over?

By the way, I'm not overweight or trying to lose weight, I'm just trying to get in shape...

Have you got an Ipod? You could try listening to that to get your mind off the exercise. Also, I think you are trying to do an exercise that you just don't enjoy. Don't force yourself to do an exercise that you don't enjoy. Can you go for a walk outside in the fresh air? Can you go swimming? You say the treadmill is the only option. Why is this? You need to find an exercise that is enjoyable for you so that you stick at it. Any exercise that you hate is going to seem like a drag, and it doesn't matter what you do, it will always be a drag and that feeling will never go away.
