Question: Almost any cardio exercise is great for legs and butt...running is excellent or even walking. If you have access to any cardio equipment, the elliptical machine and stepper machine work great. You can also do squats and lounges at home that are very helpful.

I recommend "Fight your Female Fat Zones" by Denise Austin....she has a whole chapter on lower body exercises
cardio helps burn fat, and so does weights, but fat you burn is burned everywhere
but...lifting weights with your legs will help tone your muscles, which will definitely make them look better--all the fat wont be gone, but theyll look better toned and strong
