I have a question about my weight? please answer?!

Question: So I am 5'1", 13 years old and I weigh around 80lbs, but sometimes I can weigh as little as 72lbs and as much as 87lbs.

How does this happen? My diet doesn't change [and I don't eat that healthy, I usually have sodas and lots and lots of junk food, but I don't think I am overweight yet] and it happens overnight. Is this normal?

It is very normal for weight to fluctuate from day to day. Things that make your weight change are the fluids you drink, the food you eat, your urine, food waste (poop), and water retension.

Water retension is when your body holds on to the water you drink. It is a result of many things: too much sodium (salt from junk food, canned soups, canned veggies, etc.) not drinking enough water, and being on your period. You can help prevent water retension by eating less foods high in sodium (salt) and drinking more water.

actuallu i think your undrweight

i've never heard of that happening before.
you should talk to your doctor.

i agree with sally k, i think u are underweight....check ur bmi

sounds normal...its probably just water weight

when i was still at your age, that happend to me. i also ate a lot that time. much more than i eat this time but my weight were the same as yours. i think thats because my body before was much active than my body now and also because you are still young...you dont need to take it seriously this time. but later, if you reach your age at 20's, and you still experience like that,oh i think you should worry. for the mean time, just relax because those are normal :)

check your BMI here.
this is for teens or younger -> http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitn...

You sound underweight to me. If your diet is very sporadic then the change in weight is quite possibly just water weight. Don't stress it. You're too young to be worried about that stuff. Enjoy your youth!!

yes, it's normal for your weight to change overnight! Also, you may want to start eating a little more healthy than what you consume now because as you get older, all that weight may pop out of nowhere! So, while you're young, start creating a healthy eating habit rather than what you're eating now!

hunny ok i went to google and u type in BMI calculator..and i figured out your weight, you are underweight, so maybe you should try gaining some weight girl? but i really dont know if that is normal, maybe try asking your adoctor or pediatrican
