How many days should I exercise to keep my same weight?!

Question: I am 160 pounds and I eat about a 2000 calorie diet and I have been running 5 days a week and I am just wondering if I can do any less and still maintain my weight. I am 17 and I have been running for a while now and a lot of my weight, or so I have been told is muscle. I just get so scared that I am going to gain some of my weight I have lost in the past back and I dont wont to live that way again. Any advice or help would be great, thank you.

At 6' and 120lb your BMI is 16.3 and anything under 18.5 is underweight so I wouldn't take her advice, she shouldn't be telling you how to feel about your weight, or making you feel bad. If you're happy and healthy at 160lb you should stick to 5 days a week if you can manage it. Every bit of exercise helps to not only help you shed pounds, but also make your heart and the rest of your body strong and healthy.
You can find out what your BMI is and what an acceptable weight range for your height would be at http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

you inhabit and feed that body on a daily basis, right? That means you must exercise it on a daily basis as well. You could cut your caloric intake to 1600 calories a day and then cut your exercise to 5 out of seven days, but otherwise, daily exercise it what it takes.

eat less calories also try other exercises

3 days a week

please tell me your not happy being that big...im the same age and im 6' and 120. please lose more bc that cant be healthy for you to be that big
