What are good dieting tips for Teens?!


Question: I'm 5'7 and weight about 185 pounds. I hate the flab that I have but I dont want to use any diet pills. I want to get down to between 100 to 150 and look good by my senior year which is coming soon [im a jr in high school now] I also want my arms and legs to loose some of that flab, not only my stomach. What are some best ways to look y best by the summer?

The best way to lose weight is to first watch what you eat. Start by eliminating any snacks that you eat between meals . Next switch from sodas to water not only will you lose weight but you'll feel a lot better. When eating, eat slow. When you eat slow your body has more time to start processing thus causing you to eat less. On top of all of this only eat three meals a day and try to avoid fatty foods andlay off the desserts. Lastly but not least add some exercise to your life, Get your heart beating, go on a run, play basketball, or just whatever your comfortable with. Just 30 minutes 3 times a week can do a lot of good. The goal is to get your heart rate up to about 140 beats per minute for the whole 30 minutes. With this not only will you be ready by summer, but if done right you could be ready by spring break. Eat about 1,500 calories a day, do at least 30 minutes of cardio (bicycling, walking, I wouldn't recommend running though, yet anyways).

It takes time but it's worth the result. Stay away from sweets and junk food.

Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, not only raw, but in some low calorie and fat recipes. Try also eating every thing that is in the food pyramid. Eat plenty of diary, but not ice cream or any thing that is sugary, fatty, fried, or intensely grilled, period.
Then try exercising for about 30 minutes each day if possible, even the littlest exercise works, like taking a shower standing up rather than bathing sitting down because that is known as exercise.
