How to eat healthy if I don't like food?!

Question: I am a very picky eater. Ever since I was a small child, my mother would have to work at getting me to eat. I am now in my twenties and as I have grown up I have learned that I don't dislike a food based solely on taste. It is more to do with the texture. Like broccoli, the taste is bareable, the texture is not. I want to eat healthy but there are more things that I don't like in the healthy column and alot of things I do like and will eat in the "junk" food column. If I try to eat better, like a salad, there isn't much to it, more dressing and cheese than vegatables. And I try to eat a more vegatable rich salad, or soup, I don't enjoy it, I stop eating about halfway through and end up eating some junk food cause I'm still hungry. My weight is stable, and seems not to be affected by my eating habits. But I feel tired and unmotivated, and I think eating healthy could help. So after all this explanation I am looking for ways to eat healthy that can work with my extremely picky palate.

I never ate veggies until I was in my twenties.
There are always yummy options for healthy foods and healthy versions of junk food too. It's not just what goes into the food but how the food is cooked that weighs up the health factor.
The trick is to find the right recipes or the right foods for you. Maybe you can experiment more and get out of your food comfort zones and I'm sure you'll find something good. Try different food from different countries to get away from the tired roast, salads and veggies.
I used to hate health foods and now I love them - cause I was lucky enough to try different foods.
If you're constantly tired then could be an issue with your eating habits too.
Also, don't give up after trying foods once or twice. Try it for a few weeks and your palate will gradually adjust and not be so acclimatized to foods you 'pick' to eat'.

damn

Try chugging a can of v8. Or, eat vegetables that have a good texture, and if you don't like the taste, hold your nose and eat fast. or....how about acupuncture?

I have that problem people say to me hold your nose you wont taste a thing but they don't understand it isn't the taste that bothers me its the texture. Sometimes to help me swallow it easier I eat it with something else like when eating veg eat it with mashed potatoe so then you taste and feel the potatoe instead of what ever you've hidden in it. Or mush it with your fork before you put it in your mouth I'm still trying to find other ways to eat things like broccoli so don't worry you're not alone.

I like healthy foods, most of it is wayy better than all that nasty grease. For me though, healthy is like pasta with vegatbles...tomatoes, zuccini..stuff like that. Lol. Also like a tomatoe sauce is lots healthier than something like alfredo. Try spinach too (not canned spinach though!) the bagged spinach. And like if you eat chicken, get baked or grilled, not fried. Just small changes and stuff like that.

You eat different kinds of healthy things well pick good things at the store and when I said good I meant healthy foods that you like.

You sound so unmotivated and so lacking in self discipline that nothing will work for you unless it is wrapped in marshmallows.

You will not accept good advice, so just soldier on and a few years later re-evaluate how well your course has worked for you.

Try finding healthy recipies. Like I don't care much for raw broccoli but i love cheesy rice and broccoli. I think salads can get boring but instead of putting alot of cheese and dressing try putting on fruit or chicken on it.

Try a liquid diet.
Get a lot of fruits and BLEND AWAY.
Yes, you can personalize how fine you want the drink to be.
