Why do I sometimes get itchy when I work out??!


Question: I have always wondered what caused this. Is it excessive blood flow? Example, when I jog, sometimes my legs get itchy, my arms, my back etc... I thought it was from the the clothes I wear but my lower legs will itch and I'm wearing shorts. Anybody have a honest answer??

That happens to me, too. I think its something to do w/ heat. Like, if you get to hot, you'll start itching, or something like that.

Have you ever heard of crabs?

this happens to me too. someone told me its the type of clothing i am wearing that makes me itch.

i am not sure if this is correct but i am interested in seeing what others say.

You don't have crabs. I can tell you that much.. my thighs get itchy as well.. and i've been working out for years now.. It's just from the friction of your clothes, and your body parts rubbing together.. your also sweating, which makes you itch too... even your shins sweat believe it or not. It is completely normal.. also, do you wear lotion to the gym?? Wearing lotion when you work out isn't good... your skin is trying to sweat, and the lotion clogs pours.. so, don't wear it to the gym
