When to eat?!

Question: How soon after working out should you eat? Sometimes I come back hungry, and other times totally not interested. Should I set myself a timetable to eat to lose weight?

I'm not sure. But I actually read in a magazine about a great way to regulate your eating habits. It's simple: eat when you're hungry, and stop when you're full.

A lot of people's problem's with eating is that they eat when they're not hungry, or wait when they are.

If you wait too long to eat when you're hungry, your body goes in to survival mode and actually stores fats longer, making it harder to lose weight (unless you go totally anorexic, which I wouldn't suggest of course.)

It's important to only eat when you are hungry. People tend to mistake bored or thirsty for hungry. Drinking lots of water is a must. I have a lot of friends who admit to automatically going to the fridge when they get home or when they have nothing else to do, even if they aren't hungry.

Since most restaurants today serve massive portions of food, people are tempted to eat it all in one sitting. They'll get really full and sometimes even sick to their stomach. It's okay to stop when you're full and save the rest for later.

Just stick to going with the flow of your body's signals, you'll be fine.

Just don't overeat when you exercise. Whenever you exercise, make sure you still eat that night.. but don't eat any more than you would have if you hadn't exercised. Exercising may make you hungrier but to lose weight, you cannot eat more.

The healthier lifestyle requires to eat 4-5 times per day, but small portions. So , it is better to set eating timetable, which fits better to your everyday life.
