New years resolution?!

Question: I'm 5'2 and am curvy. By no means am I fat, but I'm not a little stick either. I would like to lose a few pounds in the next couple of months (bathing suit season!) Has anyone ever tried an easy, successful diet? If so- what was it? I have a serious weakness for any food that is NOT good for me.. especially sweets.. It might sound like I have NO hope but i'm serious about this.. suggestions por favor.

I also plan to start jogging.. my troubled spots are stomach and thighs (of course).. any other workout tips?

Diet = automatic failure! I lost 35lbs last year and didn't diet one bit. I started a food journal and drank 8 glasses of water a day (64oz) The food journal makes you conscious of what your eating and the water helps keep you feeling full and keeping your system clean. I also added 30 min of cycling *3-4 days a week)in about September.

As for tips: do something you enjoy! If you don't enjoy doing it then it become a "chore" and you will fail(sorry) if you find something fun (swimming, rollerblading or (for me) cycling) you can do it for 30min and its burns about 300-500 calories! 3-4 days a week, that's a pound a week, which is realistic!

lose weight....alot of it

let me see your pic......

i do not sit down all day. i eat until i am full and no more. that is all you really need to do. good luck.

cut out the sweets and exercise

No carbs diet.

seriously it works so well it is scary, i lost 4.5 kg in 2 weeks by eating nothing but vegetables, lean meat, fruit and exercising each day, i felt so healthy and i had so much more energy.

But you must be disciplined.

Sign up for your local YMCA. Positive motivation of trainers is always good to keep you going. There are plenty of classes that you can take to hit your target areas. Also, you might want to talk to a nutritionist or perhaps count your calories and start reading labels before eating them. Try to stay away from anything white (white rice, white bread and PASTA)

Excercise early morning (45 min. brisk walk or 30 min jogging and 40-50 stomach crunches) every day. Have a heavy but healthy break-fast. Have vegetables, fruits and juice for dinner. Limit your lunch to non-fatty food. Reward yourself by eating something nice on your achivements. Drink lot of water.
I have lost 25 pounds in 5 months with this excercise.

Take one dosage of naturemade omega 3 fish oil pills. they really help with weight loss if you combine it with exercise.
