Best exercise for thicker thighs?!


Question: Yeah so, I got a hot body and I love it because I dedicated a lot of time on it after havin my baby boy. Boobs are back to perky, smaller tummy, nice round booty... you know basic hourglass figure. Sadly I was looking at a picture of myself my boyfriend took and everything is sexy... except my thighs. Their to small. It looks weird. I look like an hourglass with 2 tooth pics holding me up. No j/k lol. So any advice on making by thighs thicker. I know the answer aint getting fat so please don't say that. Like what exercises are best. Hamstring, quads? abductors adductors? Thanks sxc people!!!

Squats with a high weight workes for me.

A higher weight helps bulk up muscle, so every week take up the weight to keep a good resistance going because each week the weight should get easier because you are building muscle. Also do a lot of reps. My schedule is 12 reps per round and three rounds of three, so do the weight 12 times, that makes a round, take a break, go back and do another 12, take a break, go back and do another 12. Now repeat that schedule of reps two more times.

Other machines that target the legs are also good, just remember the key is a high weight and a lot of reps.

If you don't want to build bulk, or in your case thicken up, do a low weight with no increase in weight week to week, but a very high amount of reps. This builds tone and definition instead of bulk. Helps us ladies keep tone, lean, and attractive arms and backs.

Oh and remember to work your calves too! It's no good having nice thighs and skinny calves.

jogging

lunges and stairs...not a stair machine, real stairs, dancing and ice skating. I've got really buff thighs and since I was really young it's all been about dance, skating and soccer. Leg sports get your thighs buff!

IF you like soccer, that would be good, because playing on a soccer team is very fun. But if you don't like soccer, I think you can just do hamstring, quads, and ya..

The other person's squat suggestion is good. But squatting is one of the workouts that require a lot of care because simple posture error for even just two seconds can lead to a serious injury, particularly to your spine. Not even the back support belt gives you 100% protection.

I have big thighs and they're very strong too (compared to everyone my size and some who are even bigger). If you enjoy the challenge of squats, go for it. But for something safer and just as effective on thighs, do the leg press.

I used to do both a lot until i decided that my thighs are way to huge in proportion to the rest of my body. I love squats but i only do it if i have this particular padding that goes around the back of the neck and to the sides. If your squat bar isn't heavily padded, i don't recommend doing it at all. The bar is just going to scrape and.or bruise that bony part at the lower part of your neck's back.

Either way, if you're doing weights, remember to always gradually increase the weight (since you get stronger) until you're satisfied. Muscles are made of protein, so make sure you consume the right amount of protein as well.

Also, try steady squats. That's what i call them - go on squat position (no equipments) and hold it as long as you can. Hold it until you're wanting to scream your head off. Your thighs will be burning and shaking if you do it long enough... Fun. This may not enlarge your thighs much but it sure does strengthen and condition them.
