Diet question... help please!! I DONT WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT?!


Question: right .. heres the story.. i was on the brink of being anorexic.. due to excessive dieting.. i'm now maintaing a healthy weight if 118lbs (8 and a half stone) and have a healthy calorie allowance.. i also have a very large sweet tooth.. if i eat a bar of chocoalte or sumthing like that every couple of days BUT still stay within my calorie limit... will it effect my weight?


PLEASE ONLY ANSWER THE QUESTION AND DONT TELL ME THAT I'M BORDER LINE BETWEEN HEALTHY/UNDERWEIGHT, I KNOW AND MY DOCTOR IS AWARE OF IT!!

i agree with sam. when losing/gaining/maintaining weight you have to think of everything as calories in VS calories out. where those calories come from makes no difference to your weight. a calorie is a calorie. it's just for your healths sake that you eat a balanced diet including 5 a day. and also because chocolate has a lot of calories, 1200 of chocolate in a day would probably not be enough. whereas 1200 calories of fruit veggies rice and soup would be plenty. chocolate every few days won't be bad for your health either, any food is good in moderation

As long as you stay within your calorie limit, eating chocolate every few days will not make you lose weight.

Too vague for a decent answer:
What amount of calories do you eat now?
How consistent is your diet?
How much training and stress do you deal with all day?

It depends on how tall you are to see if you're underweight or not.. because I'm 95 pounds..I dont think I'm underweight?

Trust me if u eat a candy bar every couple of days it will definetaly not affect ur weight. I eat candy like no other and im only 100 lbs. the main reason for that is cause im a hardcore athlete. If u do sports u will have fun while excersizing and u wont have to worry about going to the gym. Just dont starve urself.

I am glad you are learning to deal with your eating disorder. Good luck with that. As far as your candy bar every few days, I think thats a great idea. Eating is for nutrition and sustaining life but it is also about being satisfied. It is very healthy to have a snack every few days.. it helps your brain adapt to your new eating habits without your brain thinking you are being mean.

no... a calorie is a calorie. i'm no nutritionist but 500 calories of chocolate is the same as 500 calories of carrots is the same as 500 calories of meat etc.

as for the nutritional value its different, but one random candy bar here and there is not going to affect your nutrition anything noticeable.

Option A, buy bite size chocolates and eat one a day.
Option B, eat dark (not milk) chocolate, the one that has at least 70% cocoa in it. It's not as sweet and good for you.

And no, it will not effect your weight as long as you either go mini-size or dark. And it will not harm your liver or whatever people start making up every day.
