Back of Knee hurts during hamstring stretches?!
Question: Whenever I do hamstring stretches like touching toes from standing or sitting down, I feel a pull on the back of my knees and not my hamstrings.
I've asked other people and they say they feel it in their hamstrings (back of thighs, above the knee). But I only feel it on the back of my knee and hurts like hell, and I don't move forward in the stretch at all..
Whats wrong with me?
thanks

what's wrong with you? nothing... the hamstring attaches behind the knee. everybody has different length tendons and ligaments so the mechanics of everybody's body is slightly different. an optimum exercise or stretch for one person may not be optimum for another because of this
to effectively stretch out the hamstrings leg you need to start with the calves first
