Is this a reason why I have so many health problems?!
Question: Is this a reason why I have so many health problems?
Like I said, the doctors found it really odd that they couldn't find out why I had all this.
My grandma is an alcoholic and when she was pregnant with my mom, she continued to drink alcohol all day. My mom doesn't have any major health problems which is amazing considering my grandma drank when pregnant. She has small things though, like not being able to concentrate and doing poorly in school.
Do you think that somehow, my Growth Hormone Deficiency is cause from my grandma's drinking? Could it somehow of been that the problems from her drinking just skipped a generation? I have heard that this can happen.
Thank you so much. Sorry it's so long :/ 10 points to best answer<3

Whatever is causing your situation, its unlikely it is influenced by your grandmother's drinking, but its remotely possible that the alcohol could have caused a mutation in one or more of your mom's genes. Your mom also carries some of your grandmother's normal genes, and so do you. If your problems are genetic, they could also come from your dad, or they could be caused by a combination of genes from both of your parents. There is no way to know. It does seem likely that your problems have a genetic cause since the docs have not found any of the usual causes.
