Pus or fungal infection?!
Question: Pus or fungal infection?
Answers:
I think that is a pus. Bitting nails can cause infection because the mouth have many bacteria, and so under the nails. I had similar problem with my big toe many years ago, and like you I had it removed in the hospital. I have seen many with big toes infection. Often I sugest them to soak it in hot water mixed with vinegar and epsom salt, (1 - 1- 1 mixture) for 30 minute then use antibiotic cream and bandage, 3 times a day. Cut a rubber glove or use finger cot when soaking. It takes about four month to grow a finger nails, should the doctor decide to remove it.
you don't have a fungus. if anything it is a bacterial infection. you really need to stop biting your nails but if you can't do that... go to the grocery/pharmacy & buy bacitracin & apply several times a day. don't mess with it anymore!! you might soak it in hot water a few times a day before applying the ointment. it will keep happening if you keep biting. sorry.
