The actual title for this is Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and you don't really need to take anything specific in high school, although if anatomy is offered I would take that just to get some foundational knowledge. Once you graduate, you'll need to find a DMS program that is CAAHEP accredited; most are offered at technical/community colleges. Stay away from trade schools since they are not well-respected for this field. It is definitely an interesting and challenging field. We scan virtually every part of the body, so not only is every patient different, every exam is different and you see new things all the time. Good luck to you :)
