Question: My husband has white, dry looking spots on his hands?

First it was only 1 and over the period of few months it became more and more. When he puts cream it's still there so it's not dryness. Looks kinda vitiligo but it's only spots, not big patches. I think it's not itchy. Now it started on his face too. What could it be?
