Whats your opinion on stemcell research, personaly I see the point to both sides but think its very useful.?
Answers:
Embryonic stem cell research is no longer necessary. There are now over 12 varieties of adult stem cells that can also turn into any other type of cell.
So far adult stem cell research has resulted in dozens of medical procedures where patient benefit was documented. These procedures do not require anti-rejection meds because the stem cells came from the same patient.
There are ZERO cases of Embryonic stem cell research as having any medical application.
So why not put the money where the results are? Those who fight to keep Embryonic Stem Cell research have Grants at stake. If they didn't stand to loose those grants, they'd probably admit that studying Embryonic Stem Cells has no scientific need too.
