I think that I may have diabetes?!

Question: I think that I may have diabetes?

I am 14 yrs old and overweight.

I have been drinking A LOT of water (like 7 liters in the past 2 1/2 days) and thus, peeing alot.

I keep having bad headaches and have been fatigued & very hungry all the time.

Any help, preferably from a doc or someone with diabetes would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Answers:

Extreme thirst and frequent urination are signs of diabetes. Headaches, fatigue, and hunger are not as indicative of diabetes, but can be symptoms. Do you have blurry vision? Are your hands and feet tingling or numb? Any burning sensation in your hand and feet?

As the other poster said, weight loss can occur, but usually only in Type 1 diabetics. I think you should have your doctor test you for diabetes.

Looks like you have Type-1 diabetes. Is diabetes running in your family?

i have type 1, those are the symptoms i had. are you losing weight
