My grandma has been battling cancer. She keeps having to get bone marrow tests.?
She says they are extremely painful and refuses to ever get one done again. My question is why cant they put people to sleep to do those? I know even tiny babys they dont put to sleep. It just sounds terrible the way she explains it and she said she would rather die then go through it again. :(

anesthetic has risks as bad as they sound. It doesn't seem fair but they don't give you a general anesthetic unless they really need to. They should be able to give her a local anesthetic so she won't feel it half as much.
