Burning feet and toes while walking for exercise. No athletes foot or blisters. !

Question:

Burning feet and toes while walking for exercise. No athletes foot or blisters. Any ideas?

I recently started to do brisk walking and have lost 40 pounds. I am also following a healthy eating program. My feet are on fire from the balls of them to the tips of my toes after about 30 minutes of walking. I have no sign of athletes foot or blisters. does anyone know if this can be a form of detox? I used to be a runner and never had this type of experience. I have even bought these awesome MBT shoes and am using socks made for running. Also my toes start to tingle and almost feel numb. I have varicous veins so I take supplements for circulation. I would love to hear any ideas.

Answers:

I also get the tingly/numb toes. I went to a sneaker store and found out that I have a high instep. The way my sneakers were laced, the circulation to the front of my foot was reduced when I walked.
They showed me how to lace my sneaks to account for it, and the problem went away.
