Well, I'm looking at your links here...

The first one gives nothing, but anecdotal evidence of what is most likely merely a coincidence. The guy claims to have barely any problem with outbreaks most of his infected life, then gets and outbreak, smokes and attributes the healing back to what he's used to to the marijuana.

The second and third links mentioned that marijuana only inhibited the reactivation of the gamma herpes virus (also known as Epstein-Barr virus, the cause of mono), not herpes simplex-1 or 2 (both of which cause oral and genital herpes).

4th: Doesn't really mention what type of herpes, probably the same as above.
5th: Says the same treatment as in 2 and 3 worked for herpes simplex 1 and 2 (though this completely contradicts 2 and 3's findings).
6th: Also based on anecdotal evidence with no reputability and no clinical or laboratory trial.

If you already smoke weed, then more power to you, maybe it will help. But in these articles and in information abroad, there's not enough evidence to say that smoking weed will help with your herpes. If it ever became certain that weed reduced the frequency of outbreaks to next to zero it would be pretty much everywhere in the news (same goes for basically any breakthrough with a disease).

One of my boyfriend's friends (the whole lot of them are avid smokers of the stuff) has oral herpes and he definitely still gets outbreaks.

Finally, since viruses when not reproducing inside the cell can insert their genetic information into the host chromosome, it's next to impossible that you'd ever completely cure a viral disease, though you may be able to completely reduce the symptoms, it would never be cured in the sense that you no longer carry the virus.

General scientific know-how.

NO it only temporarily relieves the pain. If you smoke it a lot, marijuana actually lowers your immune system which can trigger a break out.
Most of those things are scams. The best way to treat herpes is with antiviral medication. There isn't a cure for it on the market yet.
