Question: Allergic to heaters? or something else? help?
Answers:
Asthma does get a lot worse in the winter. I get chest pains because of mine in the winter. I think you might be allergic to dust as well, like me. I'll actually get more allergy symptoms inside than outside because of the dust. Try taking an allergy tablet or something each morning, they usually work. The heater may be sending off the dust that collects on it when it's off, or just the dust around it. The air is full of dust particles, you just don't see them. Take the allergy tablet. They're cheap at Walgreens or anywhere else you can find meds on the shelves. You don't need a prescription.
When the heat is on, it dries out the air, which can aggravate allergies and symptoms LIKE allergies. In the summer, it's hot, but also humid, which keeps your respiratory tract from drying out as much. Try putting a humidifier in your room at night or using a saline nasal spray a couple times a day (especially right before bed).

Maybe not allergic to the heaters but you could be allergic to the dust and other nasty particles that stay on the surface of the heaters. I notice that sometimes I feel as if I can't breathe when the heaters are on because of all that dust and crap that stays on the heater.
Heaters dry out the air which dries out your lungs. Try using a humidifer when you run the heat and see if that helps.
