Pre Diabetis?!

Pre Diabetis?
I went for my follow-up to view the blood test results from my doctor. He said everything came up normal except my blood sugar was 100. He said that im considered a pre-diabetic. Im overweight and i dont do much activity. He told me to cut down on food. He doesnt care what i eat, just cut down. Atleast excersise 30 minutes a day. Whether its walking or what. Atleast get 30 minutes of some kind of activity in.
I just want to know what pre diabetic is? Is it that im at risk for developing type 2 diabetis? Am i already diabetic? Or developing it?
I should of asked him that when i was there. Im so stupid lol

According to the latest guidelines from the American Diabetes Association, 100-125 (fasting) is prediabetes. Yes you are at risk of becoming Type 2 diabetic. You'd best follow your directions of getting some exercise. It wouldn't hurt to follow a decent food plan either. These things can help prevent you from progressing to needing medication to control your condition.
