What do you do to help with your child's asthma?!

Question: What do you do to help with your child's asthma!?
Anyone have any ideas to help with asthma in a six year old!. He's been to numerous doctors and hospitals!. They all say the same thing, "He'll grow out of it"!. They send him home with a breathing machine, albuterol, and an inhaler and sometimes steroids!.

I read somewhere that eating kiwi helps with asthma!. We tried that!. It did seem to work for a little while!. Do you know of any more "home remedies" that I can try along with the doctor's orders!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I am sorry to hear about your little boy!. That can be so frightening for him as well as you!. Prevention is the best treatment!. Have him take the albuterol on a regular basis just like the doctor said!. Make sure he gets good nutrition(I'm sure you do anyway), plenty of fluids!.Have him carry the inhaler with him wherever he goes!. The doctor is right about most kids growing out of it but that's not going to happen for another 5 years or so!.
Has he been to an allergist!? Or have you noticed anything that sets it off!? Foods!? smoke!? fumes!? Just be on the lookout for anything that might trigger an attack!.
God bless you and help you through this difficult period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, that has to be frustrating!. I was diagnosed at two!. I would say to start with try to find out what his triggers are!. It could be allergens etc or even stress!. One of the things that worked for me was getting off of cow's milk!. It produces a lot of mus-us which caused a lot of asthma attacks for me!. I hope this helps some!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
