Question: OMG my toenail is purple!.!.!.what's going on!?
I banged my toenail against my shoe from standing on my feet for 6 hours straight!. I'm not used to wearing closed toe shoes but I started a new job!. It doesn't hurt much, but it's purple now!. Should I go to the doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

From personal experience, I have had the same thing happen!.!.!.I was playing lots of racquetball with shoes just a bit too tight!. Both of my big toe nails ended up turning purple/black and eventually new ones grew underneath and pushed the broken ones off!. The new growth took a long time! My toes were sore for awhile, but I never did see a physician!. As long as there is no infection, you should be good to go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
